Prawle Point

The Old Watch House

Prawle point is on the southernmost tip of Devon in The South Hams and in an area of outstanding natural beauty. It takes its name from the old English word for look out. A very short walk away is a lookout station run by the NCI, still operating from a building built by the Admiralty in the 1860s. There is a nature reserve near the cottages as it is a well known migration watch point for land and sea birds with a good record of rarities. Cirl bunting are known to breed in the area. The South West Coast Path passes the cottages.
